How to raise a fetch request
How to instructions for raising a fetch request on the Fetching app.
By pressing the plus button at the bottom of the app you will be taken to the main fetch requests screen.
'School fetch' and 'school drop off' are completely free, but require your child's school to be using Fetching. 'Playdates' are 'Dog dates' are part of our subscription package.
There are four steps to raising a fetch request, they are all quite similar, so we are going to use the school fetch as our example:
- Select the date that you need help with the school run by using the arrows either side of 'Today' at the top of the screen.
- Choose the type of fetch you would like. We have chosen the school fetch, which is for after-school pick up.
- Select the child(ren) who need collecting and fill in the time they need picking up. You can also use the drop/care toggle to let people know whether or not to bring your child straight home, or whether you need them looked after for a bit.
- Press the Request Fetch button and all of your friends on the Fetching app will be notified that you need help.
When one of your friends accepts the request, the school is automatically informed. We will provide them with a photo of the new person collecting, so they are able to pass your child to the correct person.
